March is Veggie Month, which is great, in theory.
In reality?
The kids’ school has banned anything remotely enjoyable, Jamie Oliver took away Turkey Twizzlers, and suddenly you’re smuggling vegetables into meals like you’re doing something illegal.
But don’t stress - we’re not wanting you to spiralise courgettes or make beetroot brownies (because seriously, why?)
This is Veggie Month for real people: busy mums, tired dads, students who consider toast a meal, and anyone whose fridge is 70% condiments.
Here are some low effort “that’ll do” ways to get more veg in, powered by Daewoo.
1. Veggie Dump Soup (AKA I’m too tired for this)
Daewoo 1.6L Soup Maker
If chopping, simmering and seasoning feels like too much admin, this is your new best friend.
The process goes like this. You open the fridge, find veggies that have seen better days, throw them in, add stock, press a button, walk away.
21 minutes later, you’ve got yourself soup.
2. The “I Can’t Be Bothered” Veggie Pasta Sauce
Daewoo 200W Cordless Pro Chopper
For parents hiding veg from kids.
And adults hiding veg from… themselves.
Grab whatever veg that survived the week - peppers, onions, mushrooms, carrots, garlic - and let the chopper deal with it.
It does the hard bit. You just press the button.
Tip the chopped veg into a pan, give it a little fry, add passata, salt, pepper.
Blend if you want a smooth "nobody will ever know" sauce.
Tastes great. Looks normal. Nobody asks questions.
Cordless = chop anywhere. Yes, anywhere. (Don’t, though.)
3. Steamed Veg Counts. Don’t Let Anyone Tell You Otherwise
Daewoo 3-Tier Food Steamer (9L)
If you want your dinner to look like you “made an effort” but actually did the bare minimum, steaming is the answer.
Stack the veg. Add water. Press a button.
Congratulations, you are now someone who “steams stuff.”
Broccoli, rice, carrots, fish - all at the same time.
Healthy, hands-off cooking that lets you get on with… literally anything else.
4. The Hangover-Healing Veggie Smoothie – Green but Tolerable
Daewoo 1000W Samurai Ultrablend Pro Blender
We've all had a hangover so bad you genuinely reconsider your life choices.
This smoothie won’t fix everything, but it will make you feel 10% more alive.
Throw in:
Spinach (don’t think too hard about it), banana, frozen mango and juice/water.
Optional yoghurt if you’re feeling like a wellness influencer.
Blitz. Drink.
Tastes fruity, looks green, tricks your brain into thinking you’re doing great.
5. Roast Veg Minus the Oven and the Effort
Daewoo 17L Halogen Air Fryer Oven
If you love the idea of roasted veg but not the idea of heating the entire house, this is for you.
Chop some veg, toss with oil, shove it in the air fryer, and wait for the magic.
Crispy outside, soft inside, and almost no washing up.
You’ll feel like one of those “meal prep” people on Instagram.
(You’re not. And that’s okay.)
Veggie Month, but Make It Realistic
No pressure.
No kale chips.
No recipes with 19 ingredients.
Just simple ways to get a bit more veg in, using appliances that save time, energy and sanity.
If the kids eat one vegetable this month, or you manage one smoothie, that’s a win. We’ll take it.
