Evenings are getting darker, days are getting chillier - this means cosy food season has officially arrived.
These recipes are easily made in your Daewoo appliances and are perfect for those long evenings, rainy weekends, or for anyone who believes that a little cinnamon makes everything better.
1. Spiced Mulled Cider

Practice bartending with this easy mulled cider recipe - it’s the perfect drink to enjoy while wrapped up in a blanket watching your comfort film.
What you’ll need:
- 750ml cider (switch to apple juice for an alcohol-free version!)
- A cinnamon stick, cloves and star anise
- 1 orange
- 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
How to make it:
- It’s super easy, throw it all into your Daewoo Soup Maker and wait for the magic to happen!
- Make sure to set it to the heating function (and not the blending function).
- Warm gently for around 20 to 25 minutes.
- Adjust it to your taste, add as many or as little spices into your concoction as you like!
- Pour into your favourite mug, serve with a slice of orange and enjoy!
2. Creamy Chicken Pie

A meal that feels like a warm hug. Is there anything more comforting than a creamy chicken pie?
What you’ll need:
- 600g chicken breast
- 1 onion
- Carrots, leeks, or whatever veg you’ve got in the fridge!
- 2 garlic cloves
- 300ml chicken stock
- A pinch of plain flour
- 150ml double cream
- Salt and black pepper (season to taste)
How to make it:
- Add the chicken and all the veg you can find into your Daewoo Slow Cooker.
- Throw in the rest of your ingredients, including your stock.
- Cover and let it do its thing for 5 to 6 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Stir in the double cream before serving.
- Transfer the creamy filling to an oven dish and top with ready-to-roll pastry or mashed potato, bake, and enjoy!
3. Carrot Cake Muffins

And lastly, a sweet treat. Make these carrot cake muffins to enjoy with a hot cup of tea for an afternoon pick-me-up.
What you’ll need (makes around 6-8 muffins):
- 150g self-raising flour
- 100g light brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 2 grated carrots
- 1 egg
- 75ml vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 40g chopped walnuts (if you fancy)
How to make them:
- Preheat your Daewoo Mini Countertop Oven to 180°C.
- Add the flour, sugar, cinnamon, mixed spice and baking powder to a bowl and stir in the grated carrot and walnuts.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, oil, milk and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix.
- Divide the mixture between the muffin cases.
- Bake for around 20 minutes, until risen and golden.
- Set aside to cool before eating (we don’t want a burnt mouth!)
