Whether you’re looking to put a twist on a classic or go for a killer combination that you’ve never heard before we’ve got you covered.

Every good pizza starts with a good base, so if you’ve not already, read our blog on how to make the best pizza dough first.

The Mighty Fry-Up Pizza

You read that right. For those who love breakfast for dinner or if you’re looking for the ultimate hangover cure, the fry up pizza is the answer.

Ingredients:

  • 1 x 200g ball pizza dough
  • 1 x 400g tin beans
  • 100g grated cheese (4 cheese blend)
  • 2 cooked sausages
  • 4 rashers streaky (smoked) bacon
  • 6 cooked hash brown bites (or 2 hash browns, chopped up)
  • 50g sliced mushrooms, cooked in garlic butter, salt and pepper
  • 5 cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 50g black pudding, crumbled
  • 1 egg

Method:

  1. First heavily flour a work surface and roll out your pizza dough - make it about the same size as your pizza peel. Roll up the edges of the pizza so that you have a crust.

  1. Now it’s time for that beans base. Spread the beans on the bottom of your pizza, going right to the edge.

  1. Sprinkle with cheese.

  1. Now add your toppings – use whatever you like. We used cooked sausages, streaky smoked bacon, hash brown bites, garlic mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and black pudding. Make sure you leave a gap in the middle if you want to add an egg.

  1. If using an egg, crack into the middle of the pizza. Sprinkle some salt onto the white to help it cook.

  1. Set the pizza oven to cook on the ‘thin’ setting and allow it to preheat.

  1. Once preheated, put some flour onto the peel and pick up your pizza using a quick motion.

  1. Put the pizza straight into the oven and allow to cook on the ’thin’ setting. If you can, check on the pizza and spin it around halfway through the cooking time.

  1. When the pizza is done, add some brown and/or red sauce if you like!

The Spicy Mexican Pizza

Transport yourself to the beaches of Tulum and enjoy a mouthful of Mexico with this spicy, smoky pizza. Topped with fresh guacamole and zesty sour cream, this one is perfect for getting friends round in the garden and enjoying the sun!

Ingredients:

  • 1 x 200g ball pizza dough
  • 75g pizza sauce
  • 2 tsp chipotle paste
  • 100g grated cheese (spicy cheese blend)
  • 1/2 red pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 green pepper, sliced
  • 1 chicken breast
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced
  • 1 jalapeno, sliced (fresh here, but pickled are okay too!)
  • Handful tortilla chips
  • Sour cream
  • Guacamole
  • Coriander

Method:

    1. First heavily flour a work surface and roll out your pizza dough - make it about the same size as your pizza peel. Roll up the edges of the pizza so that you have a crust.

    1. Now for the chicken. Mix 1 tsp chipotle paste with the pizza sauce and then rub the other tsp onto the chicken breast. Season the chicken with salt and pepper and whack in the air fryer or even your pizza oven, until cooked through. Slice thinly.

    1. Add the pizza sauce to your base and sprinkle over with cheese.

    1. Now for the toppings! We used chipotle chicken, peppers, red onion, fresh jalapeño (pickled ones work nicely too) and some crushed up tortilla chips for crunch.

    1. Set the pizza oven to cook on the ‘thin’ setting and allow it to preheat. Once preheated, put some flour onto the peel and pick up your pizza using a quick motion.

    1. Put your pizza into the oven and cook. If you can, check the pizza and spin it around halfway through the cooking time for a nice even bake.

    1. When the pizza is done, add some sour cream, fresh guacamole, chopped coriander and some extra chillies!
